When to use a bar instead of a spot

Bars wash, spots accent. If the whole shelf has to read evenly — cosmetics, eyewear, packaged goods, a wall of watches — a linear bar does in one fixture what would take six spots. If you want one object to stand out, use a spot.

Rotation changes the throw. A rotating bar lets you aim the wash forward onto the merchandise or up onto a back panel without re-mounting the bracket. It is the practical fix when a cabinet gets re-merchandised and the previous aiming no longer works.

Length is made to order. We cut bars up to 2000 mm to the cabinet dimension, so the light runs edge to edge instead of stopping short and leaving dark corners. Give us the internal width and we will quote the exact length.

Check the connector plan. Long runs need a power feed point and, on constant-voltage strip, a feed at both ends to avoid voltage drop at the far end. We supply the matching connectors and drivers as one kit.
